The best ideas for children's birthday parties
A party in style
There are birthday parties to suit all budgets whether you have it at your home, a party venue or a play area – there is something for everyone! Be sure to invite your child’s friends, classmates and family, get a cake and some buffet snacks for the guests. You could even get an entertainer like a magician or your child’s favourite character.
Another great option is hiring a bouncy castle or inflatable games, if your budget allows.
Fancy dress or themed party
A themed party, asking guests to wear fancy dress, could be a great idea for your child’s birthday party.
The theme possibilites are endless, from superheroes and princesses, to video games and sports – you can choose the perfect theme to fit your child’s personality. You could hire a face painter to paint all the kids’ faces!
If your child’s birthday is in October or December, you could even make the party Halloween or Christmas themed!
Picnic in the park or at the beach
Another outdoor option is to take the little ones on a picnic in the park or on the beach.
Take your picnic blanket, along with delicious food for everyone to enjoy. Don’t forget to pack your favourite outdoor games from bat and ball to rounders. You could even organize a scavenger hunt for everyone to enjoy.
Kids love nothing more than a sleepover wth their friends. Set up the sleeping bags, get stocked up on your kid’s favourite snacks and prepare for a late night!
A pyjama night can include karaoke, games, as well as a movie night.
Bowling alley or cinema night party
Another fun idea for children's birthday parties is to take the kids to the cinema or to a bowling alley.
They can spend a fun-filled afternoon bowling, watching a film, going to the arcade, go-karting or to a trampoline park. Followed by your child’s favourite fast food treat.
Some large shopping centres have all the attractions and children's activities you need for a birthday party.
If your child’s birthday falls in warmer months, then why not spend a night under the stars? Kids will love to go camping, whether staying in their own back garden or having a night away from home. Set up your tents and sleeping bags, pack your snacks and outdoor activities, like a football and the kids’ bikes, for a fun-filled experience.
