We offer hands-on, voluntary work placements within various departments at the zoo.
Our current positions provide industrial experience within the relevant fields: animal, education, research, conservation and marketing & visual design.
Due to the high volume of applications, it is unfortunately not possible to respond to every request.
Animal, Research, Conservation, Education and Marketing & Visual Design
For any students completing a sandwich year between September 2026 and Summer 2027, we are now accepting applications for next year, placements include:
Each internship is full-time and voluntary, students will gain experience within the relevant field as well as opportunities for feedback, professional development and networking within a zoological collection.

Marketing and Visual Design
For students studying digital marketing, social media or graphic design-related course, we are now accepting applications for next year. Placements include:
