Membership Terms and Conditions

We hope that you will enjoy all the benefits of being a Blackpool Zoo member. The terms and conditions under which the membership is offered are listed below:

  1. Membership terms are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
  2. All memberships expire on the stated expiry date. If you are unable to visit during this time, the membership cannot be extended, refunded or carried forward for any circumstance.
  3. Renewal reminders are communicated via our official social media channels, website, posters throughout the zoo and by email during the renewal period (November to January). It is the responsibility of the member to ensure they renew within this timeframe. If you miss the renewal deadline or do not receive an email reminder, we are unable to extend that month’s offer.
    If you are not currently receiving emails from us throughout the year and would like to, please email info@blackpoolzoo.org.uk to update your communication preferences.
    If you experience a genuine technical issue while trying to renew, please send screenshots to show this to info@blackpoolzoo.org.uk within the offer period. Requests received after that month’s offer has ended cannot be considered.
  4. Family memberships have a maximum of 2 adults.
  5. Child memberships can only be purchased with an adult membership.
  6. Free essential companion memberships can only be used when accompanying the member with disabilities. They can only be issued in person at Visitor Services when showing valid proof of disability.
  7. When visiting as part of an organised group or school visit, members must pay the group or school rate.
  8. Free entrance to the zoo will not be allowed without a valid membership card. If you forget your card, you will be charged an admin fee of £2.50 per member at our Visitor Services Hub for validating and allowing entry.
  9. For upgrading to the next level, you pay the difference between the current prices.
  10. If a car park pass has two car registrations, it can only be used in one car at one time. An additional pass can be purchased for £5 if required. If you forget your car park pass, you will need to purchase a replacement or pay the day rate of £4.50. Your car park pass must be displayed, and it can only be used when visiting the zoo or Playbarn.
  11. 2026 Memberships run from the date of purchase until 31st December 2026. 
  12. Memberships and membership cards are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  13. Misuse of memberships and membership cards may result in the membership being terminated.
  14. Cards must be shown to gain any member discounts.
  15. Replacement membership cards and car park passes will only be issued on production of photographic proof of identity, such as a driving licence or passport, and will incur an admin fee of £5.00.
  16. Any change of address must be notified in writing, either by post or email: info@blackpoolzoo.org.uk.
  17. Under 3s are free of charge. Any child of a current member reaching their third birthday will be charged a full-day admission fee, or a membership may be purchased on a pro rata basis.
  18. There are no short-term memberships (except for children turning three) or pro-rata refunds should you wish to terminate a membership prior to expiry.
  19. The zoo may be closed at our discretion at any time, for reasons such as private events, maintenance, circumstances beyond our control such as an enforcement, or for economic reasons, etc. We regret membership may not be extended or money refunded (with the exception of national lockdown).
  20. Member benefits are reviewed annually and are subject to change.
  21. Visitors using half-price zoo tickets or free Playbarn tickets (Platinum and Gold member benefits) must be accompanied by the respective member and present the valid voucher.
  22. If available, any renewal price and associated benefits are offered subject to the membership being renewed prior to the original expiry.
  23. Blackpool Zoo reserves the right to refuse admission and revoke a membership for any reason considered necessary.
  24. During peak months, you may be required to book in advance to visit the zoo. 
  25. For half-price entry to the Playbarn, adult members can take up to two under 3s who do not have their own memberships. However, children aged 3 and above must have their own zoo membership to benefit from this offer.
  26. Discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Catering discounts do not apply in the Playbarn cafe. Membership discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Catering and/or retail discounts do not apply in the Playbarn café, the Lakes Aquarium, Bournemouth Oceanarium or Nickelodeon Adventure, Lakeside.
  27. Renewals are on sale from November and can only be purchased if you have a 2025 membership.
  28. The renewals discount cannot be extended after the offer has ended.
  29. All membership photographs must be updated.
  30. Gold member benefit cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
  31. Platinum member voucher booklets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Gold member benefit cards and Platinum member voucher booklets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Please note, Marineland in France is now closed to the public.
  32.  When renewing, all membership photographs must be updated to a recent, unfiltered image that meets all membership photograph guidelines.
