As a huge thank you to our local supporters, we are offering residents of Blackpool, Wyre and the Fylde and Zoo Member guests a 40 per cent reduction in admission price throughout March.

People living in postcodes FY1 to FY8, PR3 and PR4, or accompanying a zoo member can take advantage of the March Madness discount to catch up with their favourite zoo residents from the 1st to the 31st of March 2022.

As the days get longer and the daffodils start sprouting visitors can use the opportunity to catch up with the zoo’s much loved animals.

The two beautiful red panda cubs Ember and Kai, who were born in summer 2021, can be seen out and about with mum and dad and there have already been some newborn arrivals in 2022 in the form of a gibbon and a king colobus monkey.

Elephant fans can head over to Base Camp to catch up with Kate, Minbu, Noorjahan, Tara and Esha and Emmet while those with a soft spot for primates can visit Bukavu and his family, which consist of sisters Miliki and Njema and youngsters Meisie, Moanda and Makari.

Little local explorers can head down to the dinosaur safari to see the animatronic prehistoric mega-beasts before tiring themselves out on the outdoor play equipment.

Nicola Benstead, Marketing and PR Executive at Blackpool Zoo, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be bringing March Madness back for 2022.

“Our 2020 March Madness came to an early end when the first national lockdown was announced and last year the zoo was closed during March for the second lockdown, so we are looking forward to a more normal start to the season.

“Spring at the zoo is stunning with the parkland bursting into life and babies starting to arrive.

“We look forward to seeing familiar faces and new visitors come through the doors throughout the month!”
