We're holding our 14th Big Toddle for Barnardo’s

You are here

We're holding an animal-inspired Big Toddle on Tuesday June 28th at 10.00am to raise vital funds for Barnardo’s.

Children are being encouraged to dress up in their favourite animal costume and ‘Toddle on the wild side’ for the charity’s annual sponsored walk.

Local families, child-minders and nurseries are being urged to join the annual sponsored event right here at the zoo. All monies raised from the event will help to support Barnardo’s work with disadvantaged children and families around Blackpool and the North West.

Barnardo’s Regional Fundraiser, Jane harries said: “A huge thank you to Blackpool Zoo, which has supported the Big Toddle for 13 years and to all the local families, children and carers who are planning to take part. Your generosity will help us to support some of the most vulnerable children and families in the local area.

Barnardo’s Big Toddle 2016 is proudly sponsored by Aldi’s award-winning baby and toddler brand, Mamia.

Blackpool Zoo is Open!

As part of Step 2 of the national roadmap out of lockdown we are allowed to open once again.

However, we will not be allowed to open most indoor areas: the indoor eating area of the cafe is closed, as are the indoor viewing area of animal houses including elephants, big cats, giraffes, small primates, gorillas and orangutans. These animals all have access to their outdoor enclosures, however they may take themselves inside during inclement weather.  Lemur Wood and Rainbow Landings remain closed.

A full list of restrictions and measures in place can be found here.  Please ensure you read them before you book your tickets as they are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

We really look forward to welcoming you back to Blackpool Zoo.
