We are pleased to serve educators in Lancashire and beyond, by providing science-based information to help nurture a love of nature and inspire conservation action. From pre-school learning adventures to animal scientist workshops, we offer a range of fun learning opportunities.
Our educational programmes are customised to suit any age or ability, and there is no limit on the number of students who can participate.

Our social story is a narrative to illustrate a school visit. The story shows the different situations, from arrival at the zoo to the animals and sensory experiences a student may encounter during the visit. We hope this helps some children understand and be prepared for their day trip to Blackpool Zoo.

We also have a sensory map available to download here, highlighting noises and smells within the enclosures and any possible busy areas.
