We are pleased to announce that in light of the most recent  announcement from the government, the zoo will be allowed to reopen the outdoor areas on Monday 12th April 2021.  

We will be limiting the number of visitors in the zoo at any one time to ensure we can all maintain a safe distance, so to guarantee entry all visitors and members will need to book online.

Primary school groups are entitled to 1 free adult with 5 paying children. Secondary schools are entitled to 1 free adult with every 10 paying children.

We do ask for proof of disability on admission as we offer discounted prices. This could be evidence of DLA or PIP, Blue Badge (along with photo ID) or a Medical Letter confirming disability. Please don’t be offended by our staff asking – some disabilities are not visible and we try to treat all our visitors the same.

Adult - aged 16 – 59 years
Senior - aged 60 years +
Student - must show valid student ID
Child - aged 3- 15 years inclusive and must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Family - maximum of 2 adults

We accept Tesco Clubcard Days Out Voucher codes against full paying adult tickets, senior, child, disabled adult, disabled child and carer tickets.  Pre-paid tickets must be booked online to guarantee entry, they must then be shown to our admissions team, along with your Clubcard voucher number.  These can be used on Bank Holidays.
Car parking is available at £3.00 per car per day. Please have change for the machine.
Bikes, rollerblades, scooters, self-propelled sit-on toys and footballs are NOT allowed in the zoo for safety reasons
Sorry, no dogs allowed. Guide dogs or assistance dogs can be looked after by our team – please go to reception on arrival, or call us on 01253 830801 and this will be arranged.

Blackpool Zoo is reopening on Monday 12th April!

The government has announced that the outdoor areas of zoos will be allowed to reopen on Monday 12th April 2021.  

We will not be allowed to open most indoor areas: the indoor eating area of the cafe is closed, as are the indoor viewing area of animal houses including elephants, big cats, giraffes, small primates, gorillas and orangutans.  These animals all have access to their outdoor enclosures.
