Spring has sprung!

You are here

Hop on down for some family fun at Blackpool Zoo this Spring!

As the days get longer and the evenings turn lighter, Blackpool Zoo is gearing up for yet another wild season ahead!

From March 25th to 28th and April 2nd to 24th we'll be celebrating all things Spring with a jam-packed extended programme of talks, feeds and displays (with extra long, hands on Fun on the Farm sessions!).

We've got an eggs-iting Easter trail - where your little ones can take a journey through the zoo looking for eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny, while learning more about our animals. The arrival of Spring has also kick started a baby boom at the zoo - with a camel calf, lemurs, capybara and lambs, to name just a few!

Visitors will be able to dive into the excitement at the Active Oceans arena as the family of Californian sealions twirl, toss and twist around the UK’s largest sealion pool in their spectacular displays.

Over on Gorilla Mountain, visitors will be able to catch up with the mischievous youngsters, Meisie and Moanda while they put their parents’ patience to the test as they continue to learn something new everyday.

There is plenty going on at the Big Cat House, as the trio of Amur tigers, Zambar, Alyona and Barney make family life look easy while their neighbour Khari is working on his roar, looking more like his dad, Wallace, by the minute.

Over at the Children’s Farm, little ones can get hands on with the zoo’s latest arrivals, including bouncy bunnies and cute chicks and later run off some steam on one of the many adventure play areas.

To make your day out even more special, you can choose from one of our daily animal encounters, including flying barn owls, hand feeding majestic giraffes and meeting our family of Californian sealions (available March 25th - 28th and April 2nd - 24th inclusive).

Daily animal encounters are available to be booked on the day of visit from the Main Gift Shop. Tickets are limited so spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Prices start from £10.

If you're thinking of visiting this Spring, don't forget to book your tickets online in advance to save up to 15%!
