Ever wondered how our sea lions wow the crowd during our sea lion displays?  It takes time, patience and dedication. Come along to our behind the scenes members’ exclusive event on Saturday where our Assistant Head Keeper Khaled Fawzy will reveal all about how we manage the husbandry, care and training of our colony of Californian sea lions. (Please note that this talk is not suitable for under 5's, however we will be running a workshop for children aged 3-7 years with limited spaces - children's workshop MUST BE PRE-BOOKED, please call 01253 830805 to book a space)

Gold Members' Day - Sunday 15th September 2019

Save the date!  Gold Members are invited to join us for a tour around the zoo followed by refreshments. You'll then be able to hear from and ask questions of some of our senior staff before taking part in an interactive animal enrichment session. If you would like to attend the event but are not yet a Gold Member - you can upgrade your membership for a small fee, just pop into Reception on your next visit.  Invitations will be sent out to our Gold Members before the summer.

Somebody Swallowed Stanley – Sarah Roberts
Celebrity meet and greet! - Sarah studied at Myerscough College and started her career at Blackpool Zoo. She is now a celebrated author of the children’s book ‘Somebody Swallowed Stanley’ and tv personality. Sarah will be sharing her secrets, reading her story and signing copies of her book.
