Games Department Seasonal Vacancies

At Blackpool Zoo, we aim to ensure that all of our visitors experience a fantastic day out. It’s not just about the amazing animals, each member of our team plays a part in making this happen.

For the following vacancies we are seeking confident, enthusiastic, flexible and motivated staff aged 16 or over. Experience isn’t necessary but a SMILE is a must.

Activities

There’s fun to be found in every corner of the zoo – from face-painting by the orangutans to selling balloons, manning the bouncy castle and trampolines. This role will see you out and about in the zoo interacting with our visitors, and selling your goods or services. If you think you could transform a toddler into a tiger or giggly golfer into the next tiger woods… this is the job for you. This position would require the candidate to be physically fit and have a mature attitude.

All aboard!! Our miniature train needs a driver! Could you take to the tracks and guide visitors on a mini safari? Duties include driving the train, basic train maintenance and interaction with visitors. We are looking to fill a number of vacancies with various start dates. All jobs are seasonal, occasionally weather dependent, with full and part-time hours available. We’ll provide full training and uniform (where necessary) and we pay up to living wage (dependent on age). We also offer a whole host of benefits including complimentary zoo tickets, discounts and free parking… Oh, and you’ll be working in an award-winning zoo!!

If you feel you are ready to join our troop at Blackpool Zoo, please email your CV and covering letter, stating the position you are applying for to recruitment@blackpoolzoo.org.uk

If you have previously applied, please feel free to apply again.  We will invite successful applicants for interview within 4 weeks.
