World of Wings Aviary
Unfortunately, we have had to close indoor animal viewing areas and walk-through exhibits. All of these animals do have outdoor enclosures where you’ll have the chance to see them, and we’ll be adapting routines to encourage them outside as much as possible.
The former Amazonia walkthrough enclosure has been reimagined to become a dedicated international aviary, ‘World of Wings’, which is now open to the public. World of Wings Aviary is a fun, educational and interactive journey through a whole host of countries.
It’s home to a collection of beautiful bird and water-fowl species from across the entire globe, such as black curassow, blue throated piping guan, blue throated conure, puna teal, ringed teal, fulvous duck, sharp winged teal, cinnamon teal, orinoco goose, American comb duck, inca tern, little egret and the magnificent scarlet ibis.
If you’re down at the zoo, don’t forget to fly in for a visit!
