Rainbow Landings

You are here

Unfortunately, Rainbow Landings remains closed due to COVID-19 Restrictions.

New for 2019, Rainbow Landings is an interactive experiential walk through attraction that will allow visitors to get close to our beautiful Rainbow Lorikeets.

These small Australian parrots live in a purpose built, covered aviary where you’re able to feed them with pots of nectar at selected times throughout the year. It really is an experience like no other when these magnificent birds land on your hand and help themselves to nectar using their unusual but specialised bristle tongue.

Please note we do not allow prams into Rainbow Landings.

As part of Step 2 of the national roadmap out of lockdown we are allowed to open once again.

However, we will not be allowed to open most indoor areas: the indoor eating area of the cafe is closed, as are the indoor viewing area of animal houses including elephants, big cats, giraffes, small primates, gorillas and orangutans. These animals all have access to their outdoor enclosures, however they may take themselves inside during inclement weather.  Lemur Wood and Rainbow Landings remain closed.

We really look forward to welcoming you back to Blackpool Zoo.
