"My kids just love coming to the zoo. I think they know nearly as much about the animals as the keepers! They have learnt so much by istening to the talks by the education staff. Their new favourite is the Harris hawk."
Julie Gorst
"We came recently for our Spring visit to the zoo and can't believe that there have been yet more changes! The new car park looks great and only £2 for a whole day's parking - it's more than that for 2 hours in town. All the new signage is so modern and fresh-looking and we can't wait for the giraffes to arrive. Wouldn't it be great if all the attractions in Blackpool were so forward-thinking? Keep it up, Blackpool Zoo."
The Frith Family
"What can we say about those lions? They are AWESOME!! The kids couldn't get over standing so close with only a piece of glass between them and a fully grown lioness. What an amazing experience. We can't wait for the giraffes to arrive!!"
The Porter Family
"What can we say - we had a fantastic day out at Blackpool Zoo - all the animals looked blissfully content and healthy - and the staff were very helpful and friendly"
Moira Haycock
”Well beyond my expectations! The kids really liked the little train ride and been able to get close to the Monkeys!
Ian Clarkson
“Great value for money!!! We spent the whole day there and didn’t quite manage to see everything – I guess we’ll just have to come back!!!
Helen Hart
”I visited the Zoo many years ago and it has changed a lot – it’s even better now! Even more to do and we particularly enjoyed our cream bun and cup of coffee at the new café”
Margaret Flower
"Our children really enjoyed the Dinosaur Safari, they’re really interested in Dinosaurs and they had lots of fun and learnt a lot too!"
Mark Greenwell
" The transformation was out of this world. It was not just one part but the entire zoo has been transformed, even if some of it was a lick of paint and let's not forget the new dinosaur part. The staff too should be congratulated they were well mannered and very polite and presentable. My self and kids say that the zoo was the best part of our holiday."
The Alcroft Family, Scotland
" I am writing to congratulate you and all of your staff. ... On arriving at the zoo, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Most importantly though is the care of the animals and we were so impressed. The animals looked happy .... some of the animals were sleeping and some were not out in the open. I was impressed because it shows you put their needs first. ... Keep up the good work and we hope to see you again soon. "

My children and their friends attended the "Brunch with Santa" event last weekend and had a fantastic time! My son is very shy, but took off with Santa and his helpers to meet the reindeer without even a second glance at me!! They all thoroughly enjoyed the morning and have not shut up about it since - we will definitely be booking for next year! Thanks to all the staff concerned (and to Santa), you're amazing.

Congratulations, Blackpool Zoo! What a fantastic place to bring the family for a day out. We expected to be leaving after an hour because it's winter and we didn't think there would be much to see, but we were WRONG! Quite a few animals were outside and we could easily see into the houses for the ones indoors keeping warm. We attended the talks and watched the keepers feeding the animals - I thought I knew quite a lot, but how wrong I was!! If anyone is thinking of visiting the zoo, don't be put off because of the time of year. It's great! See you in summer.
Mr and Mrs Tootell, Derbyshire
Our family visited Blackpool Zoo over half term (in February 07), and the children thought that the Ugly Bug Ball was amazing. They learnt so much from Geoff, the young man in charge, and haven't stopped talking about it since. They even want their own Colin Cockroach! Thank you, Geoff for your patience.
