Providing a home to numerous species of domesticated animals, the huge barn is the ideal place to visit for children (and adults) who want to be hands-on.

You can hug a bunny, brush a donkey, help to walk a llama, play with chickens or just have a chat with a pig! We even have Daisy, the milking cow, if you fancy a go! Also in the barn are guinea pigs, pygmy goats, Ouessant miniature sheep, Somali black-headed sheep, geese, ferrets and reindeer.
Feeds and handling sessions will be held throughout the summer so make sure you come along and make some new friends. There are play facilities and seating inside and outside the barn and you can even get there by mini train!
The development of the new Children's Farm cost over £500,000 and has made good use of the south west corner of the park, formerly wading bird aviaries and home to the Red River hogs. The old Children's Zoo has also been transformed and has two new aviaries - one for the relocated wading birds and the other for lorikeets.
The Children's Farm was officially opened on Wednesday 28th May 2011 by Blackpool Footballer Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Blackpool Mayor Joan Greenhalgh
